Mary Jo Spallina, CNM, IBCLC
|Mary Jo Spallina, C.N.M. is a 2001 graduate of the University of Rochester Nurse-Midwifery Program. Her undergraduate degrees include an AAS from Monroe Community College, and a BSN from SUNY Brockport. She is a board certified lactation consultant and a birth educator with 20 years of Ob/Gyn experience. The word midwife means to be "with women". Nurse-midwifery practice is the independent management of women's health care, focusing particularly on pregnancy, childbirth, the postpartum period, family planning and the gynecological needs of women. Mary Jo sees patients in our Brighton, Webster, and Greece offices.|
Heidi Zielinski, CNM
Heidi Zielinski, CNM completed her Masters of Nursing degree in Midwifery at the University of Rochester in 2001. She also attended the University of Rochester School of Nursing for her Bachelor of Science degree and worked as a labor and delivery nurse prior to her career as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Heidi is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives. She sees patients in our Brighton, Webster and Greece offices.
Sandy Houle, CNM
Sandy Houle CNM is a 2001 graduate of the University of Rochester Nurse Midwifery program. She obtained her Bachelor's degree in Nursing at SUNY Brockport and has 12 years of nursing experience in Labor and Delivery and Neonatal intensive care as a member of the neonatal transport team prior to her career as a Certified Nurse Midwife. Since 2001 she has worked as a Midwife in Rochester at community based health clinics and in hospitals providing family centered care to women and their families. Sandy is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Gina Geraci, RDMS, MS, RPA-C
|Gina Geraci received her undergraduate degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2004. She worked as a sonographer for four years (including WGCA) before returning to Le Moyne College in Syracuse, NY where she completed the Physician Assistant Program in 2010. Gina works closely with our obstetricians and gynecologists to provide a full range of outpatient care.|
Jolene Griffth, RPA-C
|Jolene earned her Bachelor of Science, Summa Cum Laude, in the Physician Assistant program at D'Youville College in Buffalo in 2006. After working for several years in community based health programs in rural areas, she joined WGCA in 2012. Jolene is particularly interested in women's behavioral health issues, and encouraging women to choose healthy lifestyles.|
Katie Bates, RPA-C
|Katie earned her Bachelor of Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology, in the Physician Assistant Program in 2008. She worked at the University of Rochester Medical Center in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and in Solid Organ Transplantation; before joining WGCA in 2012. Katie is a member of the Rochester Regional Physician Assistant Association. Before becoming a PA, Katie worked as a Surgical Technologist for 4 years, assisting with Cesarean Sections at URMC.|
